The American River

What better way to spend the day then dangling your feet in the cool water, skipping rocks, and picking wild blackberries?

We had such a great time we went back for more the very next day!

Back in high school I jumped off the Folsom Rainbow Bridge to the sound of police sirens in the background. Come on, you know some of you jumped too!

Right?

Owen couldn't get over all the rocks.

It was a wonderful "stay-cation".

One that we'll definitely do again!

What spot did you go to? It looks like so much fun and I LOVE wild blackberries

Cross the Rainbow bridge heading into Folsom and park in the lot on the right-hand side. Then you can head down the trail to the water and pick all the wild berries you like. After we visit awhile there, we head back up towards the parking lot and cross at the light to catch the bike trail heading back towards the bridge. After you cross the pedestrian bridge hang a left and walk under the Rainbow bridge until you come to the sandy/rocky waterfront. Grab an ice cream in old Folsom to finish off your outing. Enjoy!
